Amanda Copstein is a visual artist and researcher. She has a BFA in visual arts from UFRGS (Porto Alegre, Brazil, 2014). She studied Contemporary Art at EAV Parque Lage (Rio de Janeiro, 2015), and she trained as a multimedia technologist (PUCRS, Porto Alegre, 2011). She has been living in Porto since 2017, where she finished a Masters degree in Arts and Design for the Public Space (FBAUP). In 2021, she started her PhD in Contemporary Art at the Universit of Coimbra.
Amanda's artistic practice focuses on reflections about daily life, via her poetic research into silent screaming. She tries to evoke what is not evident, in a process guided by her personal perceptions of the banal.
